Raul on Other Lives
Not long ago, I met another dad, Raul, as our half-Korean kids played together (or at least played in each other’s presence — at these ages, social interaction is fleeting). I came across his blog and subscribed.
As I woke up this morning, with my daughter raring to go before 7 AM this morning, I re-learned in a nanosecond that the woman I love is half asleep beside me, and the tiny energetic being is my flesh and blood who has taught me to love more than I knew possible. It all comes back every morning, replacing whatever dreams flowed that night.
Raul’s eloquent elaborations on the same topic were waiting for me on his blog this morning. Read them — they’re beautiful and relevant whether you’re a dad or not.
