Veterans Day

Since I gripe here a lot about my country’s military misadventures, I wanted to have a non-gripe post in recognition of veterans day. The president:

“Veterans Day is set aside to remember every man and woman who has taken up arms to defend our country. We honor every soldier, sailor, airman, Marine and Coast Guardsman who gave some of the best years of their lives to the service of the United States and stood ready to give life itself on our behalf,” Bush said.

Thank you, vets. Thank you, grandpa. Thank you, Tim. Thanks, Steve.

One Response to “Veterans Day”

Lukio – great message. The vets of our country deserve more . . . Still I am grievously offended by the lies that our so-called leaders have told to justify sending our boys to wat. Unfortunately GWB is not the first president to engate in a pre-emptive war … but hopefully will be the last. Interesting note in today’s news – a top CIA operative resigned yesterday so he could more freely engage in the public dialogue concerning trerrorism and security and the US role in the world. Down with Imperialism!!!
