I’m a little late to the party on this one, but Alec just brought Tim Ryan’s speech about the draft to my attention. Earlier this month, Congressman Tim Ryan, OH-17, explained on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives “why some people believe the Bush Administration has plans to re-institute a military draft” (October 5, 2004, video link). In Alec’s words, “…it’s nice to hear someone passionately telling it like it is.”
