When I first saw the news that the Supreme Court dismissed the Pledge of Allegiance case on a technicality, I was frustrated. After reading this commentary from a Jewish guy who grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma, I feel a bit more benign about it.

It’s dismaying to see religion trump reason among voters and politicians, though. Is there a country for atheists? How come God didn’t give us a promised land, anyway?
